Virginia Tola - Amelia

Winner of the Operalia Prize in Barcelona, Mrs. Tola began a career that brought
her to important theaters such as: Colòn in Buenos Aires, Palau de les Arts
Reina Sofia in Valencia, Teatro Real in Madrid, Washington National Opera, Opéra
in Monte Carlo, Arena in Verona, La Monnaie in Brussels, Los Angeles Opéra,
Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, Regio in Turin and the opera houses in Klagenfurt, La
Plata and Santa Fe. After
her successes as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Contessa d’Almaviva in Le Nozze
di Figaro, Violetta in Traviata, Desdemona in Otello, Luisa
Miller (title role) and Mimì in La Bohème, she has recently
added new roles to her repertoire, singing Lina in Stiffelio, Abigaille
in Nabucco, Nedda in Pagliacci, Amelia in Un ballo in Maschera.
Mrs. Tola lately sang Amelia in Un Ballo in Maschera at the Teatro Regio
in Parma and at the Colon in Buenos Aires, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Desdemona
in Otello in Modena and Piacenza and Lina in Stiffelio in
Monte-Carlo; Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni in Oviedo; Falstaff in
Sao Paulo. Besides
her opera appearances, Ms. Tola usually performs in concerts all over the world;
she recently appeared in recital besides Placido Domingo in Japan. Mrs. Tola’s
discography includes Ginastera’s Don Rodrigo and Milena and
Bacalov’s Triple Concerto for Delos International. Virginia Tola recently
gained great success singing Leonora in La
Forza del Destino at the Teatro
Regio in Parma.
Among her future plans it is worth mentioning Un ballo in Maschera at
the Teatro Massimo in Palermo; I
Due Foscari in Marseille; Nabucco at the Opéra Royal de
Wallonie in Liège; Don Carlo in Madrid and at the Teatro Municipal
de Sao Paulo. Mrs. Tola will also star in a lyric concert at the Opera in
Florence.

Fabrizio Beggi - Samuel
(11th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th,
17th, 18th)
Mr. Beggi started his career in 2011 attending the Ensemble Opera Studio at the
Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, where he made his debut in Donizetti’s Il
Campanello (Don Annibale Pistacchio), then he performed in Puccini’s Gianni
Schicchi (Marco e Maestro Spinelloccio) and in Roméo et Juliette (Le
Duc) under Fabio Luisi.
Fabrizio Beggi won the Toti Dal Monte prize in 2012, which led him to make his
debut in Cimarosa’s Matrimonio Segreto in Treviso, Ferrara and Rovigo. Mr.
Beggi recently sang Rigoletto in Savona, Battistelli’s Matrimonio
all’Italiana at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna, La Cenerentola (Alidoro)
in Ferrara and Treviso. Mr.
Beggi regularly collaborates with the Teatro Regio in Turin, where in the past
seasons he starred in Andrea Chénier, Don Carlo and more recently
in Simon Boccanegra, Rigoletto, Gianni Schicchi, Un
Ballo in Maschera on tour in Japan and Guillaume Tell (Melchtal),
then on tour at the Edinburgh Festival and in Canada. Recently he performed I
Capuleti e I Montecchi at the Reate Festival under Fabio Biondi and Tosca in Jesi and Fermo.
Future plans include: Le
Nozze di Figaro and I Puritani at the Teatro Regio in Turin;
Handel’s Imeneo at the Handel Festival in Halle with Fabio Biondi and
Europa Galante, I Capuleti e I
Montecchi in Warsaw.

Alessandro Carletti - light designer
He was born in Rome. He studied photography and painting through which he very
soon discovered his passion for lighting design that is also very much present
in his family and his first experiences are the productions directed by Carmelo
Bene at the Teatro Eliseo. In the late 90s he started working at the Rossini
Opera Festival where he consolidated his experience in opera productions.
With director Damiano Michieletto he started collaborating in 2008 in Lugo on Jackie’O.
He worked with the same director at Teatro San Carlo in Naples for Die
Entführung aus dem Serail, and at Rossini Opera Festival he created lighting
design for La Scala di Seta and in 2010 Sigismondo. Furthermore,
in 2011 they continued their collaboration in Valencia on Elisir d’amore, at
the Teatro Massimo di Palermo Greek Passion and Cosi fan tutte at
the New National Theatre Tokyo.
He worked regularly with directors such as Daniele Abbado, Francesco Micheli,
Henning Brockhaus, Pippo Delbono, Franco Ripa di Meana, Yannis Kokkos, Damiano
Micheieletto and others.
Recent works that are worth mentioning: Il Trittico (Theater an der
Wien), Don Carlos (Wiener Staatsoper), Cavalleria Rusticana
(Teatro San Carlo, Naples), Nabucco (Royal Opera House Covent Garden),
Ballo in Maschera (Teatro La Scala) and many others. In the near future he
will create lighting design for Il Viaggio A Reims (De Nederlandse Opera,
Amsterdam), Le Nozze di Figaro (Theater an der Wien), Guillaume Tell
(Royal Opera House, London), Otello (Wiener Staatsoper) and two revivals
of Nabucco (Liceu, Barcelona and Lyric Opera Chicago).
